The Project
The EmployeeConnect Program represents a landmark for Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese and will directly impact all 6,000+ staff across 80+ schools with the implementation of a new fully integrated SAP SuccessFactors Human Resources Information System. The focus for these roles will be supporting the introduction of the Learning Management System and the related data migration.
The opportunity
The Senior Data Analyst is accountable for ensuring data management from systems is accurate, timely, secure, documented and reviewed for improvement. This role will cover the following functions of human resource management in one integrated suite: Core HR, Payroll, Casual Timesheets, Contracts, Recruiting, Onboarding, Learning, Training and Analytics.
In this role you’ll be responsible for
Liaise with Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts and Data Owners to map target system data specifications (templates) to relevant source data, ensuring each mapping is fully documented and signed off by Data Owners
Ensure that data mappings and transformation logic is referenceable to agreed business rules and decisions at all times
Create relevant data conversion scripts and transformation tables in the ETL tool to convert and populate extracted data into each data template, ensuring that routines created are efficient, repeatable and scalable.
Reconciliation of HR and Learning data between legacy and target systems, checking for data accuracy and completeness; prepare documented evidence to support reconciliation
Analyse extracted and transformed data to determine any remediation and manufacture required
Ensure Extract, Transform, Load, Validate procedure per data template is fully documented
Ensure version control procedures for migration logic, scripts and data templates are meticulously maintained and adhered to
Raise, triage and resolve data defects utilising Q test
Data preparation to support test case execution by SIT and UAT testers and for end user training by the training team

Strong data analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated experience analysing, mapping, transforming, loading and validating complex HR and Learning data for a minimum of 2 significant transformation projects/programs e.g. SAP SF, Workday, ADP, Peoplesoft
Demonstrated experience working with both business and technical subject matter experts to extract knowledge and rulesets that inform and direct data mapping and ETL development logic
Demonstrated experience in data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems.
Demonstrated ability to use industry standard ETL tools, such as Alteryx, and SQL to extract, transform and load HR and Learning data
Demonstrated experience remediating and manufacturing data as required during the ETL process
Customer focused, proactive, able and committed to work in a team environment
SAP SuccessFactors experience: Employee Central, including concurrent assignments (desirable, not essential)
SAP SuccessFactors experience: Learning Management System (desirable, not essential)
UniVerse database experience (desirable, not essential)
