This is a newly created, strategic opportunity for an experienced Sports Manager to join our dedicated team. You will have the unique responsibility to design, implement, and lead outstanding primary and secondary sports programs across our network of schools. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of sport within the Diocese, directly influencing student engagement, athletic development, and a lasting appreciation for physical activity.

About the Role:

As the Sports Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the planning, resourcing, and delivery of a diverse range of Diocesan sports, including Gala Days, pathway sporting events, and innovative CSPD sports initiatives.

  • Establishing systems for ongoing evaluation and enhancement of sports programs, using data and stakeholder feedback to boost student engagement and program quality.

  • Leading and mentoring Sports Competition Convenors, fostering a collaborative and effective team environment.

  • Cultivating and maintaining excellent relationships with school principals, staff, and external sporting organisations to expand opportunities and support program growth.

  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive CSPD sporting records and documentation.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Sports Management, Education, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in sports program planning, event management, and successful stakeholder engagement.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.

  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.

  • A commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
