About the Role:
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for a dedicated educator to make a significant impact as an Education Officer - Extend & Enrich. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting and implementing our system-wide program for high-potential and gifted students.
You will play a key role in ensuring our brightest learners are identified, challenged, and provided with enriching opportunities that foster their unique talents and intellectual growth. Working collaboratively with schools and expert teams, you will help shape an educational landscape where every student is empowered to reach their highest potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the successful implementation of the CSPD Extend & Enrichment program, ensuring it is responsive to the specific learning needs of high-potential and gifted students.
Utilise assessment and program data to develop evidence-based insights that enhance learning outcomes and create new opportunities for advanced learners.
Collaborate in the design and delivery of professional learning for teachers, promoting a deep understanding of best practices in gifted education.
Contribute to the development of high-quality resources, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and excellence in program delivery across the diocese.
Assist in developing and implementing data collection processes to accurately measure the effectiveness and impact of enrichment initiatives.
About You:
We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative educator with a genuine passion for gifted education. The ideal candidate will possess:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the field of high-potential or gifted education.
Strong understanding of evidence-based research and data-informed practices to support student learning.
Experience in designing or delivering professional learning for educators.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, school leaders, and central office teams.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage documentation and resources effectively.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education.
A commitment to the mission and values of Catholic Education.
