Temporary Part-time Music Teacher for 2026 - Year 7 -12

Caroline Chisholm College is seeking an enthusiastic professional to cover the Secondary temporary part-time (0.8) music teaching role for all of 2026.

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will fit the following criteria:

  • Demonstrating knowledge of the new NSW Music Syllabus, through a strong knowledge base of the subject’s content, how creative arts is learned, what affects students’ opportunities to learn creative arts and how the learning of creative arts can be enhanced.

  • Current teaching qualifications for teaching Music

  • Having the ability to design effective learning and assessment tasks.

  • Implementing quality teaching practices to ensure learning growth for all students.

  • Applying knowledge and experience of the qualities of effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative teamwork approach in the Creative Arts KLA.

  • Having the capacity to work in a high functioning team that shares a vision for contemporary learning where students are empowered to achieve their potential.

  • Demonstrating high quality classroom teaching skills which enable students with a diverse range of needs to achieve their full potential.

    • A commitment to a culture of continuous school improvement that builds capacity of all teaching staff that delivers high impact teaching strategies to students..

  • Experience in teaching voice or choral work, preferred not essential.

Qualifications & Accreditation:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Education

  • Statements of Service

  • Working with Children Check clearance

  • Sound knowledge of and commitment to our Catholic faith and mission in Catholic education.
