About the Role

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) is looking for a Web Specialist to join our Communications & Engagement team on a permanent, full-time basis. Based at our North Parramatta office, this role offers the opportunity to manage and maintain CSPD and its 80 schools’ online presence with a focus on content management, design and user experience.

You will work with the Marketing, schools and IT teams to create and refine web content, ensure user-friendly website designs and optimal digital experiences. If you’re an all-rounder, experienced in website content management systems and with a creative flair, and you’re excited to have a direct impact on the digital presence of a key educational organisation, we’d love to hear from you!

Please note this is not a developer role, we are looking for a generalist and the day to day duties will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain multiple websites, ensuring content is up-to-date, user-friendly and consistent with brand guidelines

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop, design and implement new web pages and structures as necessary and with external vendors to scope user centric improvements to site functionality

  • Develop and support content creation and review, ensuring websites align with strategic goals and enhance user engagement

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to translate requirements into website wireframes and websites that create impactful user experiences

  • Stay current in industry, website structure, content and design strategy, emerging technologies and digital marketing best practices

  • Develop, implement and maintain SEO strategies, website policies, and standards

  • Utilise performance monitoring and analysis to provide advice and recommendations for content optimisation and improvements for websites and SEO strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Digital Marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience (desirable)

  • At least 3 years of experience in a website management or digital content role (required)

  • Proficiency in CMS platforms (preferably Sitecore XP or similar), and an understanding of HTML/CSS basics (required)

  • Strong knowledge of SEO principles and web analytics tools (required)

  • Experience with design tools (such as Adobe XD, Figma, Canva) to create web assets and wireframes (required)

  • Basic understanding of JavaScript and/or web hosting environments a plus (desirable)

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams (required)

  • Strong communication and project management skills, both written and verbal, with experience with managing stakeholders (required).
