Nagle College is a welcoming community, drawing from the parishes of Blacktown, Lalor Park, Marayong, and Seven Hills. We have an outstanding opportunity for a super-efficient, professional and personable Executive Assistant (EA) to join the team at Nagle College. Reporting to the Principal, you will work collaboratively with other school staff to provide support and assistance to teachers, students and school leadership in the successful delivery of school learning and pastoral outcomes. This position type typically engages in clerical, administrative, communication or technology services within a school.

Duties include:

  • Supervising the operations of the school office and other administrative activities, in the area of enrolment, equipment and statistical returns

  • Initiating and handling correspondence, which may include confidential correspondence

  • Co-ordinating school functions and events

  • A wide range of professional support, administration, secretarial and clerical duties, including word processing, data entry, maintaining email and computerised records, database information, Google applications;

  • Responding to enquiries from students, parents, employees, and the general public

  • Providing administrative support to Principal, including arranging appointments, preparing both confidential and general correspondence

  • Maintain the Principal's diary and coordinate meetings and appointments

  • Word processing of routine correspondence, including internal and external publications, teacher programs and teaching aids

  • Responsibility of Census

  • Responsibility of EmployeeConnect

Desirable Criteria

To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment with the purpose and core values of CSPD along with:

  • Previous experience providing Executive support at a senior level

  • The ability to manage workflow, priorities, work well under pressure and be flexible

  • High level of professionalism – face to face, over the phone and through correspondence

  • Self-motivated individual, who displays a pro-active style, has exceptional attention to detail and an inherent desire to provide excellent customer service.

  • Competent in using both Compass and OSCAR programs

  • Understanding and knowledge of HR policies and processes

  • Experience in all HR processes including entering staff leave in EmployeeConnect

The Organisation

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney. 

This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD'S Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
