The College Community
Having commenced in 2017 with 86 students across Kindergarten to Year 6, St Luke’s at Marsden Park is a next generation learning community within the Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD). As a ‘next generation Catholic Learning Community’ we are designing and establishing the ‘new normal’ for preschool to post school learning in an environment characterised by a flexible, stage based curriculum which nurtures and grows faith-filled, curious children to become creative contributors and innovative problem solvers for a changing world. In 2025 we will enrol over 1750 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 in addition to 59 children per day in our long day centre.
Teacher Role Requirements
At St Luke’s, teachers work in a model of two teachers within a classroom, so casual teachers are expected to:
Support the mission of Catholic education;
Actively monitor the work of students during the lesson ensure completion
Support co-teachers in the same classroom to manage low level behaviours
The opportunities provided to casual teachers at St Luke’s include:
Casual staff are welcome (but not required to join our professional learning)
St Luke’s staff can support teacher accreditation processes
Team teaching ensures that casuals are supported within the classroom
We have a supportive and welcoming environment with great students
Casuals can put preference for K-4, 5-12, 7-12 or our high needs centre
Qualifications and accreditations:
Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance
Eligibility to teach in NSW according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)

The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
