Role Outline
The General Administrator supports the strategic focus of St Luke’s by working with the principal leader, senior leaders, teachers and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective operations required for a creative and innovative preschool to post school Catholic learning community. The General Administrator provides the operational and managerial support which enables senior leaders and teachers to design and establish flexible curriculum and personalised pathways for students.
As this person is responsible for daily replacements, the role starts at 6.30 in the morning. The successful applicant may have the opportunity to work from home for the hour in the morning that this part of the job takes, to arrive at school at 8am. This is a 76 hour a fortnight role.

Requirements of the Role
The General Administrator will:
Support and assist the evangelising mission of Catholic education by modelling respectful relationships with colleagues, students and families.

Functions of the Role The General Administrator will monitor progress of operational planning to meet identified strategic objectives as well as work with staff to ensure efficient and effective day-to-day delivery of key services. Furthermore, they will contribute thoughtfully to the ongoing school planning and operations and also ensure efficient administrative policies and procedures are maintained at all times. Their specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Organising replacements for teacher absences and organising casual relief staff and managing staff leave.
Ensures the effective running of the school by overseeing approvals for excursions and professional learning, and managing events requiring organisational support such as NAPLAN and school photos
Ensuring clear communication to all staff regarding the operations of the College on a daily basis
Timetable updates throughout the year including new students, staff, change of subjects for students, update room changes, update duty changes and others
Creating and updating all rosters including yard supervision, staff and staff kitchen rosters.
Ensuring the school meets all 247 WHS and compliance online reporting requirements including staff completion of ongoing WHS expectations and relevant SALT modules.
Ensuring all handbooks are current, up to date and accessible to staff, parents and CEDP personnel.
Ensuring compliance with CSPD school management audit
Any other job as specified by the principal.
