Bede Polding College is seeking a passionate and innovative Secondary Music Teacher & Assistant Leader Of Learning for a full-time, temporary role commencing in Term 3, 2025. This position also includes a 1-point time allocation for extracurricular coordination, along with an additional 1-point Assistant Leader of Learning for CAPA
The successful candidate will:
Foster a deep understanding of students and their learning styles through inclusive, learner-centred pedagogy
Demonstrate expertise in Music teaching across Stages 4 to 6, utilizing a variety of teaching methods, strategies, and technologies such as notation programs, digital audio workstations, and sound systems
Manage tuition and ensemble programs effectively
Lead instrumental and worship ensembles, as well as direct large group singing rehearsals (preferred)
Collaborate with the learning team to design and implement effective teaching programs, in line with data, the College’s strategic direction, curriculum, and available resources
Show a strong commitment to the values of Catholic Education and actively support the academic, pastoral, and Catholic aspects of College life
Assess student learning, provide feedback, and report on progress
Participate in professional development initiatives alongside staff
Engage professionally with colleagues, parents, and the community, including organizing events, concerts, and performances for the College and beyond
Have experience teaching Stage 6

Qualifications and Requirements:
Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation (Working with Children Check clearance)
Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
A tertiary qualification (minimum 4-year degree)
