Assistant Accountant

Our Finance & Infrastructure team here at CSPD are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our warm and friendly team on a Permanent Full-Time basis. The focus of your role will be to efficiently support the achievement of month-end processes and to assist with multiple projects. More specifically you will:

  • Assist with monthly reconciliations including assets

  • Prepare journals pertaining to GST adjustments and other transactional entires

  • Assist with bank reconciliation

  • Prepare budget adjustments and assist with the annual budget process for Schools

  • Assist with month end and year end accounting journals

  • Assist with processing asset and inventory stocktakes

  • Provide advice and training to Schools in relation to accounting matters

  • Work closely with stakeholders

About you:

To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of CEPD along with:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications

  • Up to date knowledge of new accounting standards

  • Exposure to Tech One or any large ERP (eg SAP)

  • 2-3 years experience in a similar function

  • Team player with effective verbal communication skills to build ongoing relationships with internal stakeholders and manage client expectations
