As part of the mission of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Parramatta, the Early Talent Advisor is accountable for supporting CSPD's Early Talent function to deliver high quality, high impact talent services to schools and potential and current employees. This role partners with CSPD and external stakeholders to build a strong early talent function that anticipates our organisational needs.

 

The opportunity 

CSPD has just launched an exciting new program focused on the attraction and retention of early career professionals to our 80 schools and central support office. Our goal is to become the employer of choice for education professionals in western Sydney! Reporting to the Early Talent Manager and working closely with the existing Talent team, your role will include:

  • Partnering with workforce strategy team members, other internal stakeholders and external providers to understand CSPD's organisational needs and the strength of external talent pipelines, supporting the Early Talent Manager to build strong sourcing and attraction strategies for early talent 

  • Understanding CSPD's current state early talent programs and processes and supporting the Early Talent Manager to develop and implement an early talent strategy and high impact programs to enable forecasting, attraction, growth and retention of this key group in alignment with the workforce strategy

  • Facilitating strong partnership and processes with the Talent Acquisition team to enable efficient and timely early talent placements and forecast and build pipelines to account for future needs

  • Working closely with other CSPD early talent stakeholders and external providers (including universities) to streamline processes and create consistency for pre-service teachers, candidates and employees 

  • Working closely with Early Talent Associates to efficiently manage and improve transactional early talent tasks, data collection and analysis and business processes 

  • Supporting the delivery of early talent initiatives, including project work, events, presentations and data analysis, policies and procedures and success metrics and other tasks as required

The Qualifications 

  • Some experience in early talent or graduate programs in a mid to large sized organisation

  • Knowledge of higher education and education profession dynamics for effective support of emerging educators (highly desirable)

  • A confident demeanour with demonstrated experience in facilitation/ presenting at workshops 

  • A natural aptitude for fostering environments of collaboration and teamwork 

  • Skilled in quickly establishing rapport, communicating and engaging with stakeholders along with a ‘can do’ attitude to drive outcomes

  • A customer centric approach and proven ability to enhance candidate experience

  • Strong communication and presentation skills - no fear of standing up in front of a room full of people no matter the occasion!
