St Pauls Catholic College, Greystanes is looking for a HSIE Teacher to inspire and educate our students to join on a Permanent Full-time basis. This role offers you the chance to make a lasting impact in a supportive and dynamic learning environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Structure lessons to meet the physical, social, and intellectual development of students.

  • Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environment.

  • Adhere to the assessment schedule and maintain records of student achievement.

  • Provide extensive pedagogical knowledge and enhance the learning and teaching of the subject matter.

  • Work creatively and constructively within various school communities.

  • Set high, achievable goals for yourself and your students.

About You:

To be successful in this highly rewarding role, you will demonstrate alignment with the core purpose and values of St Pauls Catholic College, along with:

  • Qualifications and ability to teach HSIE in a secondary school in accordance with NESA requirements.

  • Ability to also teach Legal Studies - is highly desirable.

  • For the right candidate, there is a possibility of a coordinator role.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills, ensuring reporting deadlines are met.

  • Ability to motivate students and develop a life-long love of learning.

  • Skill in creating effective assessment techniques and differentiating learning activities.

Qualifications and Accreditations:

We uphold the highest standards of child protection and education. To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance.

  • Eligibility to teach according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (new grads encouraged to apply).
