About the opportunity:
Catherine McAuley Westmead is seeking a Secondary HSIE/RE teacher to join their collaborative team on a temporary part-time basis commencing in Term 1, 2025.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Contemporary and authoritative professional knowledge and understanding of the teaching of HSIE and the factors that influence learning and development, effective pedagogies, assessment and reporting, a wide range of resources, including interactive technologies, and their use in teaching and learning
Demonstrate understanding of the curriculum and the Theology by which it is underpinned, by knowing key concepts, skills, pedagogy, subject specific literacy and language and current issues pertaining to Religious Education.
Teachers are able to critically select each of these appropriate to each student's stage of development and challenges students to be witnesses of faith by providing them appropriate activities in formation
Understanding of how to differentiate learning to cater for students needs in order to maximise student learning. Exemplary professional practice which includes building effective relationships and managing complex interactions, creating and maintaining engaging and intellectually challenging and safe learning environments, planning, implementing and evaluating rigorous and inclusive learning programs
Qualification & Experience:
Tertiary Qualification in Education (or fourth year student)
NESA Accreditation (Conditional Accreditation also accepted)
Statements of Service
Working with Children Check clearance (essential)
Exceptional communication skills
