We are seeking a school leader to be accountable for leading the learning at St Michael’s through collaboration, instructional leadership, supporting evidence-based practice and a commitment to their own learning. The Leader of Learning Diversity:
-Has a sound knowledge of, and a commitment to, the Mission of the Catholic school and possess relevant Religious Education qualifications. -Has a high standard of competency and proficiency as a teacher and be familiar with best practice, especially in developing the literacy and numeracy skills of students. -Demonstrates knowledge of how to use targeted feedback and data to inform teaching and learning in order to create differentiated teaching programs that cater for the needs of all students. -Mentors and coaches teachers to make appropriate adjustments or interventions for students at the point of need. -Coordinates the personalised planning process and collaborates with stakeholders on developing personalised plans for students. -Identifies and coordinates internal and external stakeholders, support services and agencies to respond to the needs of students including providers for diagnostic testing and assessment. -Oversees the NCCD data collection. -Leads, communicates and works collaboratively with teams to plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate learning. -Creates and maintains an effective partnership with families and carers to support and improve students’ achievement and personal development. -Is committed to ongoing professional learning as a member of a professional learning community. -Is willing to contribute to the broader aspects of school life.
Typical Experience and Qualifications:
Accredited tertiary qualification in education or degree in a specific discipline with a graduate degree in teaching
Demonstrated experience working in a leadership position in a school setting
Working with Children Check
Australian resident or citizen

This position involves working with children.
