Our Lady of the Rosary is a K-6 co-educational primary school known for its nurturing environment that encourages each student to reach their full potential. Sport is a valued part of a school’s curriculum, contributing to the development of the whole child by providing opportunities for social, physical, emotional and moral learning. Our Lady of the Rosary Primary is seeking a skilled and passionate Leader of Learning (2 Point Coordinator) to be part of their school community and enrich the lives of their students.

The successful candidate

The successful candidate will fit the following criteria:

  • Current teaching qualifications and experience up to stage 6

  • The capacity to challenge, inspire and lead teachers in contemporary and innovative learning and teaching practices

  • Strong ICT skills with the ability and willingness to integrate technology into their teaching where relevant 

  • Strong communication and organisational skills ensuring that personal and team reporting deadlines are met

  • Ability to motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learning 

  • Ability to create effective assessment techniques and have the flexibility to differentiate learning activities for students 

 

The Leader of Learning is accountable for:

  • Working directly with students and parents/carers to support them in identifying and pursuing learning experiences that improve the learning outcomes for students 

  • Leading cross-curricular collaboration to provide personalised, student driven, innovative learning

  • Building the capacity of teachers through collaborative professional learning and practice analysis: co-planning, feedback, mentoring and coaching

  • Drawing on contemporary research and analysis of data to support evidence-based practice 

  • In partnership with the Assistant Principal - Learning and Innovation, developing each teacher’s capacity in mapping student learning to training and accreditation authorities and other curricula and credentials

  • Tracking, reporting and meeting compliance requirements of assigned areas of responsibility and components of registration and accreditation in accordance with school, system and legislative requirements 

 

The Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Education 

  • NESA Accreditation 

  • Working with Children Check clearance (essential) 

  • Exceptional communication skills
