About the opportunity:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate leader and Primary teacher to work on an ongoing full-time basis to start Term 1, 2025. We are currently seeking a dynamic and energetic teacher with the relevant NESA accreditation. This is a fantastic opportunity to create engaging and creative learning environments in a supportive and fulfilling community.  

The Primary K-6 Teacher will fit the following criteria:

  • Understand contemporary pedagogical approaches for primary years learners

  • Knowledge on how to structure lessons to meet the physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics of students. Strong teachers have extensive knowledge of the content and sequence of Key Learning Areas - including Religious Education.

  • Creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive and challenging learning environment and implementing fair and equitable behaviour management plans

  • Interpreting and using student assessment data to diagnose barriers to learning and to challenge students to improve their performance

  • Effectively managing the learning cycle, including planning for learning and assessment, developing learning programs, teaching, assessing, providing feedback on student learning and reporting to parents/carers

  • Be open to growth and development through professional learning experiences which include practice analysis conversations, classroom observations and input from instructional coaches.

  • Engaging with our school community within and beyond the classroom to enrich the educational context for students

Essential Qualifications and Accreditations:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Education (minimum 4-year degree)

  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)

  • Baptised Catholic and willingness to complete RE Certificate to gain Religious Education Accreditation 

  • Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
