The position and key accountabilities
As a member of the College Leadership Team, the Leader of Wellbeing shares responsibility for the wellbeing of students and staff. Other responsibilities include:
Reinforcing adherence to the “whole school practices”, regarding uniform, detentions, learning preparation, behaviour management, awards, student progress, event attendance and travel to and from the college
Effective communication with teachers regarding staff meetings, case management meetings and preparation/feedback in relation to parent/student meetings
Effective communication with parents regarding student progress/behaviour
Effective communication with students regarding their progress/behaviour
Precise record keeping
Reinforcement of the “student management policy”
Assistance with the renewal of policy on an annual basis
Promoting the use of the CSPD Student Wellbeing Framework
Supporting teachers through student management issues and positive behaviours for learning
Providing opportunities for year groups to connect with the mission of the college
