Monday to Friday - (76 hours per fortnight).

About the opportunity:
The School Support Officer - Skills Development and Transition, will work within the CSPD Student Services and Post School Options team. Under the direction of the PSO Coordinator and the PSOLT the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the System Strategic Intent of improving learning outcomes for all students and promoting a professional and rewarding working life for staff.
The successful applicant will support students with their transition to post school providers by:
Implement skill training and vocational skills by building the capacity of school personnel to upskill students and staff;
Provide direct supervision, guidance and modelling of tasks to support students;
Create resources to support specific skill training and/or work experience;
Utilise assistive technology effectively to support staff and student learning;
Undertake data and evidence collection and analysis;
Support to engage suitable employers/community based organisations;
Complete administrative tasks as required;
Participate in training and professional learning as required;
Provide physical assistance where needed and/or personal care to students.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certificate III or IV in Education Support and experience in schools;
Valid Working with Children Check;
Compliance with CSPD’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct.
