We are looking for a Leading Teacher - Post School Options to join our team on a Permanent Full-Time basis. 

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) is committed to ensuring students are provided with opportunities to reach their full potential. The Post School Options (PSO) team provides engagement strategies and facilitates personalised interventions to develop transferable skill-based learning. The Post School Options team supports students with diverse learning needs from Years 7 to 12.

About the Role:

Applications are invited from outstanding educational leaders to apply for the position of Leading Teacher PSO. The Leading Teacher is responsible for student-centred personalised transition planning for our vulnerable students. The successful candidate will work closely with students, parents and external stakeholders such as community and RTO providers to ensure successful pathways beyond school.

More specifically you will:

  • Collaborate and consult with teachers and leaders to design and implement Learning, Wellbeing and Inclusion frameworks to improve learning outcomes for students with diverse learning needs

  • Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate skills training and interventions for students to set them up for success post school

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Student Services strategy within schools and system to develop whole school processes to improve student outcomes

  • Mentor and collaborate with school leaders and teachers to enable professional learning and develop capability to execute effective learning interventions

  • Work systematically to conduct risk assessments and management plans so that students can access and participate in their learning

  • Collaborate with school teams to promote partnerships with parents, carers and the wider community

What’s required:

  • Tertiary qualification in Education and current accreditation at a proficient level

  • Working with Children Check clearance

  • Demonstrated experience implementing programmes and strategies responsive to the wellbeing and learning needs of students, increasing their engagement

  • Experience working with external service providers for successful transition to work readiness programs and community participation
