About the opportunity:

As part of the People & Culture transformation, an exciting new opportunity has been created for a Payroll Advisor to join a fun and busy team who are committed to CSPD’s success. This is a great role if you are passionate about payroll and keen to deepen your experience across the portfolio. Reporting to the Payroll Lead, you will engage with stakeholders across schools and our central office supporting the delivery of payroll services. You will also support a small team of passionate Payroll Officers. 

 

More specifically you will be accountable for:

  • Ensuring salaries and wages are distributed accurately and on time as per EA, Award, Employment Contracts and other legislative requirements

  • Resolving/answering complexed payroll queries for our schools and central office

  • Preparing, balancing and reconciling payroll tax, PAYG tax and FBT, superannuation, annual group certificates

  • Maintaining system records for leave, casual timesheets, employee records etc.

  • Providing management reports and undertaking required statutory reporting as needed

  • Partnering with the Senior Payroll Advisor to deliver value add outcomes across the team

  • Assisting Payroll Officers and conducting training of junior Payroll staff as required

 

About You:

To be successful in this highly rewarding role, you will demonstrate alignment to our purpose and values along with:

  • Significant experience working in Payroll with a strong focus on compliance

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply multiple Enterprise Agreements / Awards throughout our Payroll processes

  • Experience with Success Factors would be highly desirable but not essential

  • Ability to understand our data and apply best practice solutions to mitigate risk

  • Experience supporting the training and development across Payroll teams

  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet strict deadlines

  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills and an inherent desire to provide excellent customer service.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    A natural aptitude for collaboration and teamwork

  • Skilled in quickly building rapport, communicating and engaging with stakeholders along with a ‘can do’ attitude to drive outcomes 

  • Working With Children Check for paid work
