Catholic School Parramatta Diocese are seeking an experienced IT Service Owner - People Systems to join their fast-growing IT Shared Services team and be accountable for the management of Application Delivery and Support of all Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and People Management Systems, including Work Health Safety (WHS) systems.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the head of IT Shared Services or delegate, the successful candidate will be working with the broader team to enable outcomes and success of Enterprise Applications and IT Services within the IT Shared Service Platform.

The IT Service Owner will work within the Platform team to design user-centric technology solutions, services and journeys, supporting every state of the product development / service design lifecycle to ensure delivery of the best possible end-user experience.

Role responsibilities:

  • Managing the platform service lifecycle, including defining and executing platform service vision and strategy, validating business requirement and design, identifying and resolving issues.
  • Leading and defining an outcome-oriented service roadmap, informed by customer insights and feedback. Defining and writing user stories, acceptance criteria and success metrics, ensuring customer-centric product design, development and delivery
  • Leading research including consultation with stakeholders and related activities, to define current and future product enhancements to meet customer needs and maximise return on investment
  • Ensuring service design compliance with regulatory obligations and relevant CSPD’ s policies and standards, proactively identifying, mitigating and managing risks associated to the service, and remediation initiatives
  • Planning and designing tests that validate services have been built against design specification
  • Embedding a service management culture within the wider team and lead all service design activities for the platform

Ideal Candidate

To be successful you will demonstrate alignment to our purpose and values, together with:

  • Understand and contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of relevant strategic initiatives and operational plans.
  • Engage in continuous learning and contribute positively to a collaborative and respectful working environment aligned with the culture and values of CSPD.
  • Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of study.
  • Strong Negotiation, conflict management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
