About the opportunity:
Our Lady of Lourdes is looking for a skilled Leader of Learning (Literacy) on a full-time permanent basis, commencing in Term 1, 2024.
The Leader of Learning will:
Support and implement the goals and values of Catholic education and the strategic priorities of the School.
Demonstrate the highest levels of personal and professional integrity.
Be committed, passionate and knowledgeable about teaching and learning in their subject area.
Be involved in the selection and induction of new staff.
Drive the pedagogical vision of the School within the broader educational life of the School.
Lead staff with vision, purpose and a strong commitment to excellence.
Promote and understand the importance of assessment practice, data analysis and feedback to enhance learning.
Prepare students for changing demands of a global community.
Establish a positive relationship with students, their families and the broader community.
About you:
To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment with the core purpose and values of CSPD along with:
An understanding of contemporary pedagogical approaches
Extensive knowledge of the content and sequence of Key Learning Areas
Knowledge and implementation of a variety of online and multimedia programs to support student learning
A demonstrated understanding of what constitutes effective, developmentally appropriate strategies in learning and teaching programs
Ability to make content meaningful to students
A commitment to work with and within a collaborative team environment
Well-developed communication, administration and interpersonal skills
Able to assist in motivating staff and students to achieve and develop a life-long love of learning.
Qualifications and accreditations:
Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance
Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)
