We are currently seeking a Temporary Part-Time Grounds Maintenance Officer to support the upkeep and presentation of our beautiful school grounds. This role has a strong focus on gardening, with flexible hours available to suit your schedule.

Whether you’re trade-qualified or bring relevant experience and a passion for outdoor work, we welcome your application.

About the Role
This hands-on role will see you working independently and as part of our friendly team to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming outdoor environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • General gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, mulching, and weeding

  • Lawn mowing and maintenance using turf machinery

  • Minor grounds repair and upkeep

  • Applying fertilisers and garden treatments under supervision

  • Assisting with basic maintenance tasks as needed

  • Supporting site safety and security in line with school procedures

About You
To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have experience in gardening or grounds maintenance

  • Be self-motivated and reliable, with a strong work ethic

  • Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines

  • Enjoy working outdoors and taking pride in maintaining clean, green spaces

  • Support the mission and ethos of Catholic education
