Our Lady of Mount Carmel School is looking for energetic, motivated and committed teachers who love working with children to join our team of casual teaching staff.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel is the Catholic primary school serving the parish of Wentworthville. We are a school guided by our Carmelite and Mercy traditions. Our community is reflective of the diverse cultures that make up our community. Our classrooms are agile spaces allowing for collaborative work between students and teachers.
When you join our casual teaching team you will:
Be committed to supporting the ethos of our Catholic Schools
Be knowledgeable of all primary curriculum areas and current good teaching practice
Be prepared to take the lead for a day of learning for a primary class
Plan a day of engaging learning that can stand alone from their regular program or be adapted to the possible plan left
Actively engage with the children in the planned learning tasks and provide feedback
Actively work with or support buddy teachers throughout the day
Follow through with any behaviour concerns and address them to school leaders as required
Be supported to have a professionally rewarding day with our students
Please include the following in your application:
A brief cover letter introducing yourself and your beliefs about teaching
A brief resume including information about you teaching experience and other employment
The names and contact details (including email addresses) for 2-3 referees who will be contacted by the school to answer child protection questions.
A copy of your Catholic Schools Diocese of Parramatta (CSDP) Classification Letter or your CSPD PIN
Your NESA registration number and proof of currency (can be a screen shot)
Your Working With Children Check information and expiry date - Paid Employment
The Organisation
Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 83 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.
This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CEDP’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
