Application Administrator - Education System

About the opportunity:

We are currently seeking an experienced Applications Administrator – Education Systems, for a permanent full-time position. This role is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and efficient day-to-day operation of designated systems.

Key Accountabilities:

The Applications Administrator is accountable for:

  • Providing support and timely resolution of issues raised through the Enterprise Service Desk (level 1 support)
  • Consultation, system configuration, reporting and operational setup of the designated application in response to day-to-day operational demand and project related activities (level 2 support)
  • Analysing operational activities to identify and deliver system improvements
  • Providing enhancements, alterations and testing of systems’ configuration within the designated application in response to operational and project demands
  • Guiding and training system end users in the effective use of the system
  • Working with vendors to ensure the organisation's requirements are understood, issues are managed,  and product roadmap are understood and effectively utilised

Typical experience and qualifications:  

  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting SaaS applications - including user account management, troubleshooting of application issues, basic data handling (import / export tasks)
  • A strong track record of adhering to established processes and documentation for various tasks, including user management, configuration changes, and data handling.
  • Proficiency in using a ticketing system (e.g., Jira Service Management, ServiceNow) to log, track, and manage support requests.
  • User-centric and has demonstrated experience interacting directly with end-users
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explian technical concepts to non-techical user. 
  • Strong attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, excellent organisation skills and strong time management abilities
  • A collaborative team player with a strategic mindset

The ideal candidate would also have:

  • Experience  supporting Education SaaS applications
  • Experience leveraging built-in automation features or third-party tools to streamline processes.
  • Experience generating basic reports on usage or support trends.
  • Experience communicating with SaaS vendors for support or feature requests.
  • Experience creating and maintaining user training documentation
