Senior ICT Officer - Permanent (Full Time)
The Senior ICT Officer is a key role that enables teaching and learning for the College community. This position is responsible for overseeing and exercising accountability for all aspects of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) at St Patrick's Marist College, Dundas. The role of the ICT Infrastructure Manager requires a strong focus toward service delivery, as well as effective technical skills.
This is a permanent full time position working 76 hours per fortnight over 48 weeks per year.
COMMENCING: Immediate Start – Term 2 2025

Required knowledge and experience:
Proven ability to lead and motivate an ICT team to achieve defined goals and objectives.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
Hands-on experience in operating, maintaining, and supporting the technical components of IT systems and applications.
Proficient in troubleshooting system, network, and security issues
Demonstrated capability in project management, problem analysis, and root cause identification.
Experience handling sensitive information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Experience managing ICT ticketing systems, preferably with ServiceNow.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, students, and parents.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
Commitment to supporting and enhancing teaching and learning through effective use of technology.
Sound knowledge of network and information system security best practices to ensure a secure IT environment.
The successful applicant will have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and experience with Print Systems (iPrint, Papercut)
Knowledge and experience with Network Infrastructure (Cisco)
Knowledge and experience with G Suite
Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft 365 Suite
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Server Tools (Active Directory)
Knowledge and experience with Security Systems (InnerRange, SALTO)
A thorough understanding of backup and recovery (VEEAM)
A strategic and purpose-oriented mindset
A strong understanding of change management and project management
Demonstrated experience analysing problems and providing clarity of direction and leadership to provide solutions
Strong leadership abilities demonstrated by experience in leading a team and developing and implementing ICT strategies that align with the College vision
Knowledge and experience with information systems in education, in particular school management systems, learning management systems and web portal solutions
Demonstrated experience in vendor management
Leadership skills required to effectively and appropriately manage ICT trainees
Have completed classification with the CSPD
Have a current Working with Children Check
The following will be an advantage:
A strong interest in innovative and emerging technologies
Industry Certificates (CCNA, Microsoft, PRINCE2, ITIL)
Experience with the Compass platform
An understanding of Virtualisation (Hyper V)
Qualifications and experience:
Tertiary qualifications and or appropriate demonstrated experience
