The College

With campuses in Emu Plains and Mount Druitt, CathWest Innovation College serves the needs of young people who desire to drive their own learning in pursuit of their interests, strengths, and passions. Student learning is project and problem-based, empowering them to master skills and capabilities, be innovative, entrepreneurial, and enterprising, and make a meaningful difference for themselves and others in the world. They are supported through partnering with learning mentors within the college and industry mentors beyond the college. Successful graduates will leave the college with multiple credentials, confident and capable of embracing an ever-changing world.

The Position

  • Temporary part-time (2 days per week)  for Term 1, 2025

  • Commencing as soon as possible

  • The position requires an experienced and qualified teacher/trainer to deliver Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care to students in Years 11 & 12. 

 

Ideally the the successful applicant will hold the following qualifications:

  • TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or combination of Secondary Teaching qualifications and TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set 

  • Relevant qualifications to deliver CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

 

Teachers who hold the following qualifications and/or experience will also be considered:

  • Secondary PDHPE teachers with experience delivering Stage 6 Exploring Early Childhood and Community and Family Studies 

  • Primary teachers who are qualified in Early Childhood Education 

  • Primary and/or Secondary teachers who have worked in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting

  • All learning and assessment materials are provided with the understanding that learning experiences will be contextualised for students.

The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
