About the Opportunity:

Delany College is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate Leader of Learning: Personal development, Health and Physical Education & Sports Coordinator Teacher to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students. 

The Leader of Learning: PDHPE will fit the following criteria:

  • Contemporary and authoritative professional knowledge and understanding of the teaching of PDHPE across Years 7-12 the factors that influence learning and development, effective pedagogies, assessment and reporting, a wide range of resources, including interactive technologies, and their use in teaching and learning

  • Understanding of how to differentiate learning to cater for students needs in order to maximise student learning.

  • Exemplary professional practice which includes building effective relationships and managing complex interactions, creating and maintaining engaging and intellectually challenging and safe learning environments, planning, implementing and evaluating rigorous and inclusive learning programs

  • Use assessments and constructive feedback to inform teaching and learning and communicating effectively with different audiences using a range of strategies

Essential Qualifications and Accreditations:

To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of Delany College along with:

  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)

  • Tertiary Qualification in Education (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% completion)

  • Statements of Service

  • Valid Working with Children Check
