St Nicholas of Myra Primary is currently seeking a skilled and experienced administration and bookkeeping specialist to take on the role of Senior Finance Officer within our Catholic school environment.
This position will be temporary Part-time and is an important role within our office and will give you the opportunity to use both your bookkeeping and people skills as you interact with colleagues, families and students.
The Senior Finance Officer will collaborate with the Principal, Business Manager and central office Finance teams to:
Process financial transactions, including purchasing and receipting and reconciliation processes, assist in budgeting, forecasting and reviewing financial reports
Facilitate the raising and collection of school fees
As required, assistance with a diverse set of other school administrative processes including, enrolments, student services, health & safety, staffing
Front of house and student facing duties, collaborating with other team members to build a welcoming and safe environment for the school community
Ideal Candidate
Strong experience with Compass, TechOne, SharePoint is advantageous, but experience using any enterprise level financial software is desirable
Solid administrative experience, either with the Microsoft Office suite or related Google Suite applications
Possess bookkeeping or accounting qualifications or equivalent practical experience
Have exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, crucial for building relationships within the school community

This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
