Test Lead

We are currently seeking an experienced Test Lead to join our IT Shared Services team and be accountable for ensuring that the team has the support and expertise required to deliver in line with their area of focus. 

About the opportunity:

Reporting to the Applications Development Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide analysis and insights for continuous improvement in applications and processes.

Key accountabilities:

  • Working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of applications advice, responding to ad-hoc requests, project work and implementing and developing procedures and policies
  • Managing escalations from team members, reviewing work, providing guidance and advice where necessary
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, support, maintain and report on all applications and participate in working papers with service providers
  • Developing and implementing TIS projects and Initiatives
  • Providing analysis and insights for continuous improvement in applications and processes

About you:

To be successful in this highly rewarding role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of study
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing (functional and non-functional testing), including a minimum of 1 year in a team leadership role
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Demonstrated initiative, analytical and problem-solving skills and a proven ability to participate in business improvement activities
  • Experience in managing and executing different types of testing (Regression, Performance, UI, Security, User Acceptance, Cross-browser, Integration and Data Migration testing)
  • Experience working with Jira
  • Experience with test management tools (eg: Zephyr, X-ray, qTest or similar)
  • Experience developing and maintaining test strategy, test plan, test cases, test scripts and test reports
  • Experience in building, running and maintaining automated testing using tools (eg: Katalon, Playwright, Selenium or similar)
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience with Postman Testing experience with Power Platform, Sharepoint, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Desirable)
  • Testing experience with various enterprise applications (eg: SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, TechOne, Vendor Panel, Compass, Canvas) (Desirable)
