Parramatta Marist High School is a Catholic school with a history and tradition spanning 200 years. Since 1875 it has been shaped by the Marist charism, one that flows from a basic trust in God and a desire to follow Christ in the way of Mary. Our pedagogy is based around Project/Problem Based Learning and Flipped Classroom through a collaborative approach in Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) and Team-Teaching.
Parramatta Marist High School is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate Secondary Diversity Teacher to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated:
Sound knowledge of and commitment to our Catholic faith and mission in Catholic Education.
Excellence as a teacher with training/expertise/experience in Learning Support.
Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative teamwork to work in a team with other Diverse Learning teachers and Teachers Aides.
Experience in implementing best practice literacy and numeracy interventions (eg Science of Reading Pedagogy).
Evidence of ongoing professional learning.
Exemplary values and attitudes appropriate to professional practice and the intellectual, physical and social development of all students and those identified with disabilities and learning needs.
Ability to successfully implement and evaluate curriculum initiatives in accordance with NESA curriculum frameworks and the Disabilities Act.
Commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities.

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.
This position involves working with children.
