Parramatta Marist High School is a Catholic school with a history and tradition spanning 200 years.  Since 1875 it has been shaped by the Marist charism, one that flows from a basic trust in God and a desire to follow Christ in the way of Mary.  Our pedagogy is based around Project/Problem Based Learning and Flipped Classroom through a collaborative approach in Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) and Team-Teaching.

We are seeking a school leader, commencing as soon as possible, to be accountable for leading the learning at Parramatta Marist High School through collaboration, instructional leadership, supporting evidence-based practice and a commitment to their own learning.

The Leader of Learning Diversity:

  • Contributes to the delivery of the system strategic intent within the local school context

  • Exercises Catholic leadership and fosters the faith formation of students and staff

  • Leads the implementation of the diversity needs of the school 

  • Creates and maintains an effective partnership with families and carers to support and improve students’ achievement and personal development

  • Mentors and coaches teachers to make appropriate adjustments or interventions for students at the point of need

  • Coordinates the personalised planning process and collaborates with Leaders of Learning Pathways and stakeholders on developing personalised plans for students

  • Identifies and coordinates internal and external stakeholders, support services and agencies to respond to the needs of students including providers for diagnostic testing and assessment

  • Tracks, reports and meets compliance of assigned areas of responsibility and components of registration and accreditation in accordance with school, system and legislative requirements

  • Is responsible for the leadership and care of the members in the Wellbeing Centre

Typical Experience and Qualifications:

  • Accredited tertiary qualification in education or degree in a specific discipline with a graduate degree in teaching and preferably also a registered psychologist 

  • Demonstrated experience working in a leadership position in a school setting

  • Working with Children Check

  • Australian resident or citizen

The Organisation

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney. 

This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD'S Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
