About the opportunity

Marian Catholic College Kenthurst is currently seeking applications from experienced NESA HSC Markers to join our team of casual Markers to mark our Year 12 students' practice trial papers over the upcoming Term 2 holidays. This is a fantastic opportunity for educators looking to contribute to the academic development of students and gain valuable experience in exam assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately assess and mark Year 12 students' practice trial papers in the specified subject area(s).
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to aid in their academic improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority) marking guidelines and standards.
  • Complete marking within the designated timeframe. Exams must be marked over the July holidays and be ready to return to students at the start of Term 3.

Requirements

  • Experience as a NESA HSC Marker in the specified subject area(s).
  • Strong understanding of the relevant syllabus and assessment criteria.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in marking.
  • Effective communication skills to provide clear feedback to students.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
