Parramatta Marist is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic ICT Assistant to support our ICT team in delivering efficient and effective technology services across the organisation. The successful candidate will assist with technical support, hardware and software maintenance, and contribute to overall ICT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for staff and students, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software and network issues.

  • Assist with the setup, installation, configuration and maintenance of computers, peripherals, mobile devices and AV equipment.

  • Support user account management (e.g., password resets, access permissions).

  • Monitor and maintain ICT inventory, including asset tagging and record keeping.
    Assist with ICT projects, upgrades and deployments.

  • Ensure ICT helpdesk tickets are logged, tracked and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Provide basic training and guidance to staff and users on common software and systems.

  • Follow ICT policies and security protocols to protect data and systems

Selection Criteria

 

  • Demonstrated experience in a technical support or ICT support role (school environment is an advantage).

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS environments.

  • Experience with common software applications (Microsoft 365 suite, learning platforms, antivirus tools).

  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
