St John Paul II Catholic College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Wellbeing Coordinator (Coordinator 3) to lead wellbeing initiatives for Stage 5 students (Years 9–10) in a permanent full-time capacity.

This pivotal leadership role supports student wellbeing, engagement, and achievement, ensuring every learner is known, valued, and cared for in our inclusive, faith-centred community.

Key Responsibilities

As the Stage 5 Student Wellbeing Coordinator, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and supportive school culture. You will:

 

  • Collaborate with teachers to develop strategies and adjustments for student success

  • Support the creation and review of Personalised Plans (PPs)

  • Co-design and implement behaviour support plans 

  • Partner with staff to deliver programs that strengthen student engagement and academic outcomes

  • Work closely with counsellors, families, and external agencies to support wellbeing needs

  • Build teacher capability and contribute to the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)\

This position attracts a Coordinator 3 allowance in recognition of its leadership and strategic responsibilities.

The Organisation

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation

  • Demonstrated experience supporting student wellbeing and engagement, ideally in Stage 5

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to motivate, inspire, and support students — particularly those at risk

  • A strong commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
