Xavier Catholic College, Llandilo are seeking an experienced and committed Teacher to be part of our school community on a permanent full-time basis. This position will attract a 1 Point Coordinator allowance, you will be working as a Team Leader Assessment & Literacy on a full time basis to lead and coordinate literacy and assessment initiatives across the school to improve student learning outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of evidence-based literacy practices aligned with curriculum requirements and school priorities.
  • Collaborate with school leaders and teaching staff to analyse assessment data and identify strategies for student growth.
  • Build teacher capacity through coaching, mentoring and professional learning focused on literacy instruction and assessment practices.
  • Coordinate whole-school assessment processes, ensuring consistency, accuracy and effective use of data.
  • Monitor student achievement trends and work with staff to develop targeted interventions and support programs.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of literacy improvement plans and school-based initiatives.
  • Support teachers in using assessment data to inform planning, differentiation and evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Contribute to the creation and review of resources, programs and assessment tools that enhance student learning.
  • Promote a culture of high expectations, collaboration and continuous improvement across the school community.
  • Work closely with leadership teams to ensure literacy and assessment priorities are embedded in teaching and learning programs.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)
  • Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
