St John XXIII Catholic College, Stanhope Gardens is seeking a dedicated and innovative Secondary Growth Coach - Assistant Year Coordinator (1pt) to join our vibrant learning community in a permanent full-time capacity.

Job Summary

The Growth Coach - Assistant Year Coordinator occupies a significant promotional (middle leadership) position within the College community. He/she supports and works closely with the relevant Head of School in the provision of a dynamic and relevant learning environment within the College that facilitates the students’ optimal holistic development – spiritual, moral, intellectual, cultural, physical and social. The leadership role has specific delegated responsibility from the relevant Head of School for the day-to-day management and leadership of an assigned horizontal year cohort, encompassing the areas of student spiritual and character formation, management, welfare, and academic and co-curricular supervision.

 

● Contribute to a faith-based environment that promotes holistic education.

● Design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to students’ intellectual, social, and developmental needs.

● Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment with effective behaviour management strategies.

● Use assessment data to inform practice and support student growth.

● Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families to enhance learning outcomes. 

Qualifications

● Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation (Working with Children Check).

● Accreditation with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

● Relevant tertiary qualifications (minimum 4-year degree or 75% complete).

● Experience supporting diverse learners is an advantage.

Applicants must include:
