We are seeking a passionate Science Lab Assistant to join our supportive team working 52 hours per fortnight. This is a permanent part-time role, commencing asap!
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up equipment, chemicals, and materials for practical science lessons across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Clean, maintain, and safely store laboratory equipment and materials after use.
- Assist teachers during experiments and practical activities where required.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements, including the safe handling and disposal of chemicals and biological materials.
- Maintain accurate records of chemical inventories and equipment.
- Support the development of new experiments and demonstrations to enhance student learning.
- Assist in maintaining an organised, efficient, and safe working environment in the lab and preparation areas.
- Participate in professional learning and safety training as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Working with Children Check clearance
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications (desirable)
