About the Opportunity

Marian Catholic College is seeking applicants for a Temporary Student Receptionist role to cover staff leave. This position will be required to work Mondays and Tuesdays from Monday 4 May 2026 to Tuesday 2 June 2026, from 8:30am to 3:00pm (12 hours per week).

 

This is a front-facing role within a welcoming school community, supporting students, staff and families in a busy office environment.

 

This position is accountable for a wide range of professional support, administration, secretarial and clerical duties, including but not limited to:

  • Reception duties (responding to email and phone enquiries from parents, staff, the general public and students)
  • Acting as the primary first aider and managing sick bay
  • Assisting with student enrolments
  • Maintaining student records and database information
  • Photocopying and general administrative support

Experience and Qualifications

  • Valid Working with Children Check clearance (essential)
  • Current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate and demonstrated first aid experience (essential)
  • Demonstrated experience using Compass (Student Database) is essential – applicants must already be trained and confident in its use, including entering sick bay chronicles, signing students in/out etc. 
  • Experience with the following essential:
    • Google applications (Gmail, Docs, Sheets)
    • Google Drive
  • Experience and/or training in the following is highly desirable but not essential:
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
    • TechOne
    • Matthew
    • Edval
  • Tertiary qualifications in administration (highly desirable)
