We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Temporary Part-Time Sports Teacher to join our vibrant school community. This position is 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and will run from January 2026 to January 2027.

 

This is a wonderful opportunity for an educator who is passionate about physical education, student wellbeing, and fostering a love of sport and movement in young learners.

About the Role

As our Sports Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality Physical Education programs that support students’ physical, social, and emotional development.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging PE lessons aligned with the NSW curriculum

  • Encouraging participation, teamwork, skill development, and confidence in all students

  • Coordinating school sporting activities, events, and carnivals

  • Supporting whole-school wellbeing initiatives through movement and physical activity

  • Ensuring safe use of equipment and adherence to WHS and school policies

  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

 

  • Be a passionate and enthusiastic educator with a commitment to student growth

  • Hold relevant teaching qualifications and accreditation with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)

  • Have experience teaching PE or leading school sport programs

  • Demonstrate strong organisational and classroom management skills

  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and the broader school community

  • Support the mission and ethos of Catholic education
