St John Paul II Catholic College is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic English Teacher for a ongoing, full-time role commencing January 2026 until January 2027.

This role offers the chance to join a collaborative faculty focused on nurturing critical thinkers and confident communicators. Our school day runs from 8:00 AM to 2:15 PM.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary focus will be delivering engaging and high-quality English curriculum. Duties include but are not limited to:

Planning and delivering engaging lessons across all secondary stages of the English curriculum, from Stage 4 through to Stage 6.

Applying extensive pedagogical knowledge and understanding of literacy acquisition to enhance student learning opportunities in English.

Understanding how to differentiate learning to cater for diverse student needs, ensuring maximum student learning and growth.

Developing sound lesson plans, effectively using technology, and providing meaningful assessment and learning feedback to foster student development.

Committed to the continual improvement of teaching practice through personal professional development.

Working creatively and constructively within a range of 'communities' and motivating students to achieve and develop a life-long love of learning.
About You
To be successful in this highly rewarding role, you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of St John Paul II Catholic College along with:

Tertiary Qualification in Education – (English Teaching).

NESA Accreditation (or eligibility for accreditation).

Statements of Service (if applicable).

Working with Children Check clearance.
