St Agnes Catholic High School, Rooty Hill, is seeking a passionate and dedicated HSIE and Religious Education Teacher to join its collaborative teaching team. This is a temporary full-time position from 27 January 2027 to 28 January 2028.

The Successful Candidate Will

Deliver engaging and contemporary HSIE and Religious Education lessons.

Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom practice.

Encourage critical thinking, inquiry and informed discussion.

Support students to understand historical, geographical, social and religious perspectives.

Connect classroom learning with contemporary issues and students’ lived experiences.

Use evidence-informed teaching strategies to support student growth and achievement.

Cater effectively for students with diverse learning needs and abilities.

Work collaboratively with colleagues and build positive relationships with students and families.

Qualifications and Accreditations
The successful candidate will:
-
Hold recognised tertiary qualifications in Secondary Education.

Hold current NESA accreditation or be eligible to obtain accreditation.

Have qualifications and experience teaching HSIE and Religious Education.

Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and contemporary teaching practice.

Meet the relevant accreditation requirements to teach Religious Education or be willing to work towards them.

Hold a valid Working with Children Check.
