St Agnes Catholic High School, Rooty Hill, is seeking a passionate and dedicated HSIE and Religious Education Teacher to join its collaborative teaching team. This is a temporary full-time position from 27 January 2027 to 28 January 2028.

The Successful Candidate Will

• Deliver engaging and contemporary HSIE and Religious Education lessons.

• Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom practice.

• Encourage critical thinking, inquiry and informed discussion.

• Support students to understand historical, geographical, social and religious perspectives.

• Connect classroom learning with contemporary issues and students’ lived experiences.

• Use evidence-informed teaching strategies to support student growth and achievement.

• Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

• Cater effectively for students with diverse learning needs and abilities.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and build positive relationships with students and families.

Qualifications and Accreditations

The successful candidate will:

• Hold recognised tertiary qualifications in Secondary Education.

• Hold current NESA accreditation or be eligible to obtain accreditation.

• Have qualifications and experience teaching HSIE and Religious Education.

• Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and contemporary teaching practice.

• Meet the relevant accreditation requirements to teach Religious Education or be willing to work towards them.

• Hold a valid Working with Children Check.
