Are you passionate about creating safer communities and empowering young people through education? Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) is seeking a proactive and engaging Road Safety Advisor to join our Health & Safety team in a permanent part-time capacity.This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact across our school communities by leading road safety education initiatives that support students, teachers and families to become safer road users. This position is Permanant, part time 3 days per week.

As the Road Safety Advisor, you will partner closely with schools to develop and deliver engaging road safety education programs. You’ll play a key role in building awareness, influencing behavioural change and embedding a culture of safety across our system. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, you will provide expert advice, develop practical resources and support schools in implementing road safety initiatives that improve outcomes for students and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop road safety education resources for teachers and students
  • Design and deliver engaging professional learning and curriculum initiatives for schools
  • Promote road safety awareness across school communities and CSPD
  • Support positive behavioural change in children and young people as safe road users
  • Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Attend industry meetings, workshops and contribute to quarterly reporting requirements
  • Provide best practice advice and guidance to schools on road safety initiatives

About you

You are an experienced educator who is passionate about community education and student wellbeing. You thrive in collaborative environments and can confidently engage with a wide range of stakeholders.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Experience designing and delivering educational programs or training

  • Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving capabilities

  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team culture
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and child-safe practices
  • WWCC Clearance
