Position Criteria
We are seeking a strategic and commercially focused leader who can:
-
Deliver multi‑year category strategies aligned to Diocesan priorities and cost‑saving targets
-
Lead end‑to‑end sourcing, including tenders and evaluations for major contracts
-
Manage key contracts across their full lifecycle, ensuring continuous improvement and strong supplier performance
-
Oversee high‑quality corporate and administrative services to support operational excellence
-
Analyse procurement data to identify consolidation and value‑enhancement opportunities
-
Embed social procurement, ethical sourcing and Modern Slavery compliance across all categories
-
Manage the organisation’s insurance portfolio, including renewals, claims history and risk considerations
Qualifications and Experience
-
Relevant tertiary qualification
-
7+ years’ experience in strategic procurement or category management within a complex, multi‑stakeholder organisation
-
Proven track record leading end‑to‑end sourcing, major tenders and high‑value contract negotiations
-
Demonstrated experience managing contract lifecycles, supplier performance and corporate/administrative service functions
-
Strong capability in procurement data analysis, identifying value opportunities and informing strategic decision‑making
-
Commitment to meeting CSPD’s Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead requirements as part of employment
