Temporary Part-time - Teacher Librarian

Mondays only - 12 month contract
St Patricks Primary Parramatta is seeking a skilled and passionate Teacher Librarian to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students. The Library Technician works collaboratively with other school staff to provide support and assistance to teachers, students and school leadership in the successful delivery of school learning and pastoral outcomes.

The successful candidates
The successful candidate will fit the following criteria:

Implement a literacy program to groups of students as determined by the school

Supervising students in non-teaching periods such as in recess or lunch times
-
Implementing some administrative library tasks as determined by the school.

Providing technical assistance in the operation of a library
Qualifications
-
Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
-
Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)

Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
-
Working with Children Check clearance (essential)
-
Exceptional communication skills
-
Detailed knowledge of complex office procedures
-
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
-
Demonstrated capacity to exercise initiative, organise resources and meet deadlines
-
Ability to interact with school staff, students and members of the school community

Commitment to the Catholic Ethos of the school
