Join Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) in our passionate High Support Needs Team and make a real impact in the lives of students with additional learning needs. This isn’t your standard teaching role. You’ll work alongside passionate educators and leaders to design and deliver inclusive, high-impact learning experiences that unlock potential, build confidence and create meaningful outcomes for every student. As a Specialist Teacher, you’ll play a key role in shaping inclusive learning experiences that foster growth, engagement and deep learning through the arts and help transform the learning journey for students who need it most.. Permanent Full time position! 

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribution to the leadership, design and delivery of professional learning with a focus on building teacher capacity to engage students in deep learning through the arts
  • Implementation of System Learning priorities and initiatives in alignment of Learning programs with deep learning classroom based activities, experiences and rich open tasks through learning scaffolds
  • Application of specialist pedagogical and discipline knowledge to enrich, deepen and transfer learning  to student learning outcomes exploring deep learning practices
  • Lead and develop ensemble programs and collaborate with school leadership teams, staff and classroom teachers to further enhance and develop Learning programs and practices in and beyond the classroom
  • Working collaboratively to ensure inclusion, access and participation and to maximise learning outcomes for students with additional needs

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in education (and/or a relevant specialist area).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting students with high support needs or additional learning requirements.
  • A collaborative educator who models lifelong learning and reflective practice.
  • Supportive of the ethos and mission of the Catholic Church and committed to nurturing faith-based education.
