Our Finance & Infrastructure directorate is seeking a Properties & Facilities Specialist, accountable for providing technical expertise across the CSPD property and facilities portfolio, supporting the assessment, compliance, and management of building assets and property interests across school and support team locations.

Key Responsibilities

The Properties & Facilities Specialist is accountable for: 

  • Conducting and coordinating condition assessments across the CSPD property portfolio, identifying maintenance requirements, compliance obligations, and asset condition risks 

  • Providing technical advice on facilities and property matters to internal stakeholders, including schools and support teams, to inform planning and operational decision-making 

  • Supporting the management of property interests across the CSPD portfolio, including monitoring lease and tenure obligations, statutory requirements, and land-related documentation 

  • Evaluating and reporting on the condition and performance of building assets, contributing to asset lifecycle planning and capital works prioritisation 

  • Monitoring compliance with relevant building codes, safety standards, and legislative requirements across the portfolio, escalating non-compliance issues as required 

  • Analysing facilities and property data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, providing insights to support the Asset, Facilities & Operations Manager 

  • Liaising with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and statutory authorities on technical property and facilities matters 

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of property records, asset registers, and portfolio documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility
