Mission Partner

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese is looking for a Mission Partner to join the Mission team on a permanent full-time basis. 

 

As the Mission Partner, you will have the opportunity to support the Catholic identity and mission of our school communities.

 

  • Ongoing full-time position available

  • Hybrid working model - five days per fortnight in the office

  • Expertise in Secondary Religious Education will be highly desirable

About the opportunity

This role is tasked with providing formation and professional learning in Mission in partnership with school and System leaders. More specifically, you will:

 

  • Mentor leaders of Catholic Identity and Mission in a group of schools

  • Support the ongoing implementation of Encountering Jesus, CSPD’s new Religious Education curriculum 

  • Support CSPD schools in the effective delivery of Stage 6 learning in Religious Education, including Studies of Religion

  • Partner with experts in other Directorates to ensure alignment of teaching and learning in Religious Education  

  • Partner with Diocesan agencies in supporting the development of Faith in Action programs and activities

  • Collaborating with school communities in the development of formation opportunities for students, staff and parents

  • Providing clear communication to stakeholders, ensuring clarity around Mission initiatives and resources across the schools and central office and communicating progress, success and challenges with Mission leadership

  • Supporting Mission leaders in the coordination of Mission initiatives and operational activities as required

About You

To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of CSPD along with:

  • A strong commitment to the Catholic faith in practice and lifestyle, witness, and modelling

  • Substantial knowledge and experience in religious education curriculum and pedagogy and/or Formation and/or Faith in Action programs and initiatives

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Religious Education/Theology

  • Commitment to team and building relationships

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning and formation
