We are seeking a Head of Enterprise Risk to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our system-wide risk management framework.

 

This senior leadership role plays a critical part in embedding proactive risk management across 80 schools and our office support teams, ensuring risk is effectively integrated into CSPD’s strategy, decision-making, and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Legal, Governance, & Risk, you will be accountable for coordinating and driving an embedded risk culture that safeguards our mission.

 

  • Develop, implement and embed CSPD’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework across the organisation.

  • Manage, mitigate, and report high-level strategic risks to the Executive Team and the Board

  • Collaborate with Directorates to evaluate risks and opportunities, translating analysis into effective business strategy

  • Create and deploy a risk management system enabling schools and support teams to continuously self-identify and manage local operational risks.

  • Integrate risk processes seamlessly with internal audit, governance, and compliance functions.

  • Leverage data and analytics to develop predictive risk models, indicators, and robust control mechanisms.

About You

You are a strategic and collaborative leader who brings both technical risk expertise and a strong capacity to influence and guide others. You will also bring:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area (e.g. Risk Management, Finance, or Law).

  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience

  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

  • A commitment to Catholic values and to the mission and ethos of CSPD.
