About the Opportunity

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) is seeking an exceptional and influential leader to join our Mission, Leadership and Culture Directorate as Head of Leadership and Culture. 

This is a significant system leadership opportunity for an accomplished Catholic education leader to shape the future of leadership development, Catholic identity formation and professional learning across CSPD.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive General Manager or delegate, the Head of Leadership and Culture will provide strategic leadership across CSPD's leadership development, Catholic identity formation, onboarding and professional learning portfolios.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Establishing and embedding a cohesive leadership development framework that supports leaders at every stage of their journey, from Beginning Teachers and Aspiring Leaders through to Middle Leaders, Religious Education Coordinators, Assistant Principals and Principals. 

• Ensuring leadership and Catholic identity formation programs are grounded in CSPD’s Formation for Mission commitments and aligned with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy. 

• Leading the design, implementation and continuous evaluation of CSPD's Leadership Development Framework.

• Building leadership capability across school and office communities through innovative leadership and formation initiatives.

• Leading and developing the Leadership Formation Development Leads in the design, delivery and evaluation of leadership programs.

• Designing and overseeing onboarding programs for new office staff and senior school leaders.

• Overseeing the coordination, administration and compliance requirements of professional learning and formation programs.

• Developing meaningful success measures and using data and evaluation outcomes to continuously improve leadership and formation programs.

• Collaborating with senior leaders, Diocesan partners and cross-disciplinary experts to ensure leadership initiatives reflect contemporary best practice in Catholic education.

• Leading a collaborative, high-performing team while fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation and excellence.

About You

You are a visionary and collaborative Catholic education leader with a passion for developing others, strengthening organisational culture and driving system-wide impact. 

You will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Educational Leadership or a related discipline.

• A Master's degree in Educational Leadership or a related field (highly desirable).

• Meet the requirements of Category E of the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy or agree to meet these requirements in your first contract term. This includes four units of postgraduate study in RE/Theology and/or Catholic Leadership in addition to those undertaken for Category D.

• Extensive senior leadership experience within Catholic education.

• Extensive experience leading Catholic educational leadership and formation initiatives.

• Demonstrated success designing and implementing leadership development and professional learning programs.

• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams.

• Strong strategic thinking, organisational leadership and change management capability.

• Experience using evaluation, evidence and data to inform decision making and continuous improvement.

• Outstanding communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.

• A deep commitment to the mission, values and ethos of Catholic education.
